Who is Dog Mom Copywriter?
Great question! My name’s Allison Tunin. Born and raised in Indiana, I grew up surrounded by corn fields, cookouts, and man’s best friend. 🐕🐶🌽
As a dog mom of multiple breeds for over 20 years, I’m no stranger to the sleepless-puppy nights, wet-nose snuggles, potty-training victories, hair-matted couches, and heart-wrenching loss that come with the joys and sorrows of being a pup parent from beginning to end.
I have over four years of experience writing online copy. My specialty’s in the dog industry with a laser focus on nutrition, grooming, and training.
My goal with each partnership I take on, is to craft copy in your brand voice and tone to fetch and keep your ideal clients.
We’re a team; when you’re happy, we both win!

I have professional experience working as an online content coordinator and ghost writer. Over the years I have served in many positions requiring hands-on work in doggy daycare and boarding facilities, pet hospitals, pet retail stores, and even ringside at dog shows throughout the Midwest USA.
I have multiple certificates in academic education, dog grooming and training, as well as CEUs in SEO Copywriting, English, Proofreading & Copyediting, and Research, just to name a few. I am also a graduate of the AWAI Copywriter Method program.
But most importantly…I LOVE DOGS. And I know their parents.
My many years of experience in both online content creation and working with man’s best friend (and their parents) have enabled me to deliver high-quality copy that will connect with your reader on a professional AND personal, paws-on-the-ground level.

How do I stand out from the pack?
In a word: Empathy.
My ability to connect with the reader comes from many years of experience as an active pet parent in the dog community. My unique approach champions your brand voice with a deeply woven understanding of “how dog people talk” to create copy that can resonate with your target audience for the best possible reach.
Simply put, I know your audience, because I AM your audience.
At the end of the day, you want copy that drives the reader to take action towards your brand. That’s where the paws meet the pavement…and where I come in :)
P.S. You can’t get that level of personalization from a big-wig writing agency.
